Primitive Radio Gods sono un gruppo alternative rock americano originario della California meridionale. Il gruppo è composto dal frontman Chris O'Connor, che si occupa di voce, chitarra e basso; Tim Lauterio alla percussioni; e Luke McAuliffe, che contribuisce con diversi strumenti aggiuntivi (chitarre, violini, pianoforte) oltre a gran parte dell'arte apparsa negli album e sul sito web del gruppo. Jeff Sparks, ex membro della band, si occupava di scrittura, canto e basso prima di lasciare il gruppo nel 2001 per dedicarsi ad altri progetti musicali. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da atmosfere dark e melodie orecchiabili, con influenze che spaziano dal rock alternativo al post-rock.
