Swan Lake è un supergruppo indie canadese formato da Carey Mercer di Frog Eyes e Blackout Beach, Daniel Bejar di Destroyer, Hello, Blue Roses e The New Pornographers, e Spencer Krug di Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown e Frog Eyes. Originariamente il gruppo suonava sotto il nome "Thunder Cloud", ma lo cambiò in Swan Lake dopo aver scoperto che il nome era già stato preso. La band ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto *Beast Moans* il 21 novembre 2006 attraverso Jagjaguwar. L'album è stato intitolato da Mercer, dopo che Krug ha descritto il suono come "un cinghiale che muore in una fossa di pece".
