You were one of the cool kids
Baggy pants, shades on, chilling with your friends at the basketball court, smoking something
Wearing nikes you probably couldn’t afford but you looked like a king
And you knew I was watching you
See I was never a cool kid, vintage clothes, always humming something with my headphones on
I tried to fit in but I guess it was different then
Though you made me feel like a queen when I saw you smile at me
And so we meet again
I ain't gonna lie
The thought had crossed my mind
What if we tried again
After all this time
We still got that vibe like
Back in the day
Cruising down the city
Playing 2
Pac & brandy
If you want then maybe
We can kick it like
Back in the day
Late night on the street
Sipping on bacardi
Take me back to the 90’s and let’s kick it like
That day in mid September, not sure if you remember, but you took me to the movies and though it was innocent
I bet you didn’t realize right then and there
It would set the tone for what’s to come
By now you prolly had your fair share of heartbreak
Honestly i thought i was never gonna see you again
But ever since 99 each summertime I reminisce about you and me back in the day
And so we meet again
I ain't gonna lie
The thought had crossed my mind
What if we tried again
After all this time
We still got that vibe like
Back in the day
Cruising down the city
Playing 2
Pac and Brandy
If you want then maybe
We can kick it like
Back in the day
Late night on the street
Sipping on bacardi
Take me back to the 90’s
And let’s kick it like
Kick it like kick like back in the day
I ain’t gonna lie baby
Kick it like kick like back in the day
We still got that vibe like
Back in the day
Cruising down the city
Playing 2
Pac and Brandy
If you want then maybe
We can kick it like
Back in the day
Late night on the street
Sipping on bacardi
Take me back to the 90’s
And let’s kick it like
