Welcome back, Joe
Big Black è stato un gruppo musicale statunitense attivo tra il 1980 e il 1987. Considerati pionieri del noise rock, hanno influenzato profondamente la scena musicale alternativa degli anni '80 e '90. Il duo formato da Steve Albini (voce, chitarra) e Santiago Durango (batteria) ha prodotto un suono grezzo e aggressivo, caratterizzato da riff distorti, testi provocatori e una performance live frenetica. Tra i loro album più noti figurano *Songs About Fucking* (1987), *Atomizer* (1986) e *The Hammer Party* (1983). Albini, dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, ha continuato a lavorare come produttore musicale di successo, collaborando con artisti come Nirvana, Pixies e PJ Harvey. Big Black è ricordato per la sua influenza sul genere noise rock e per il suo contributo alla scena musicale underground americana.
