Sloan è un gruppo musicale canadese di power pop originario di Halifax, Nuova Scozia. Attivo dal 1989, il gruppo ha pubblicato dieci album in studio, ottenendo particolare successo negli anni '90 con brani come "The Good Life", "Underdressed" e "Money City Maniacs". La loro musica è caratterizzata da melodie orecchiabili, riff di chitarra energici e testi ironici. Sloan è considerato uno dei gruppi più importanti del movimento power pop canadese e ha influenzato numerose band successive.
