Luna è stata una band dream pop/indie rock formatasi nel 1991 dalle ceneri del gruppo Galaxie 500. Il nucleo originario era composto da Dean Wareham (chitarra e voce), Justin Harwood (basso) e Stanley Demeski (batteria). In seguito, la formazione ha visto l'ingresso di Sean Eden (chitarra/voce), Britta Phillips (basso) e Lee Wall (batteria). Nonostante abbiano pubblicato otto album in studio, Luna non ha mai ottenuto un grande successo commerciale, né ha avuto singoli che hanno scalato le classifiche. La band si è sciolta nel 2004, con l'ultimo concerto al Bowery Ballroom di New York City a febbraio 2005. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: *California*, *Friendly Advice*, *The Ballad of the Brokenhearted*.
