Barry Adamson è un musicista britannico nato a Moss Side, Manchester, l'11 giugno 1958. Noto per la sua versatilità musicale, ha collaborato con diverse band e artisti di spicco del panorama rock e elettronico. Ha iniziato la sua carriera con Magazine, poi si è affermato come membro dei Visage, The Birthday Party e Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Adamson ha anche lavorato con artisti come Pan Sonic e Depeche Mode, creando remix iconici come il sette minuti "Useless (Escape From Wherever: Pts. 1 and 2)" per quest'ultima band nel 1997. Oltre alla musica rock, Adamson si è cimentato nella composizione di colonne sonore, tra cui quella del film "Lost Highway" di David Lynch.
