Fredro Starr, all'anagrafe Fredro Scruggs, è un rapper e attore statunitense nato a Brooklyn, New York, nel 1970. È noto soprattutto come membro del gruppo hip hop Onyx, attivo dal 1988. Con il suo stile rap aggressivo e le rime taglienti, Starr ha contribuito a definire l'hardcore hip hop degli anni '90. Onyx ha pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "Bacdafucup" (1993) e "Shut 'Em Down" (1995), che hanno raggiunto la top 10 delle classifiche Billboard. Starr ha anche collaborato con artisti come Snoop Dogg e Wu-Tang Clan. Oltre alla musica, Fredro Starr ha recitato in diversi film e serie TV, tra cui "Belly" (1998) e "The Wire" (2002). Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Onyx figurano "Slam" (1993), "Throw Your Arms Up" (1995) e "React" (1998).
