Cabaret Voltaire è stato un gruppo musicale britannico di origine scelesta, attivo dal 1973 al 2003. Considerati pionieri dell'industrial music e della musica elettronica sperimentale, hanno influenzato profondamente generi come l'electro-rock, la techno e il noise. Il gruppo era composto da Richard H. Kirk (voce, sintetizzatori), Stephen Mallinder (voce, percussioni) e Chris Watson (suoni ambientali). Il loro sound caratteristico si basava su campionamenti, loop, distorsioni e ritmi industriali, spesso accompagnati da testi provocatori e visionari che esploravano temi come la società di massa, il consumismo e la tecnologia. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Nag Nag Nag", "Just Fascination" e "Do The Mussolini Head-Spin". Cabaret Voltaire ha pubblicato oltre 20 album in studio, tra cui "The Voice of America" (1978) e "Red Mecca" (1980), che hanno contribuito a definire l'estetica e la filosofia dell'industrial music.
