Richard St John Francis Harris (1930-2002) è stato un attore e cantautore irlandese, noto per la sua voce profonda e il suo talento versatile. Iniziò la carriera come cantante folk negli anni '50, ottenendo successo con brani come "MacArthur Park". Nel corso degli anni '60 si dedicò principalmente alla recitazione, interpretando ruoli in film di grande successo come "Camelot", per cui vinse un Tony Award. Nel 1980 raggiunse la fama internazionale grazie al ruolo di Dumbledore nella saga di Harry Potter. Harris ha pubblicato numerosi album musicali e ha collaborato con artisti come Van Morrison e The Dubliners. Tra i suoi brani più famosi ricordiamo "MacArthur Park", "The Ballad of the Green Berets" e "A Horse with No Name".
