I Rainbirds sono un gruppo musicale tedesco formatosi nel 1986 attorno alla cantante Katharina Franck. Il loro genere musicale si colloca nell'ambito del rock alternativo e della new wave, caratterizzato da atmosfere malinconiche e melodie orecchiabili. Il successo internazionale arrivò con il singolo "Blueprint", pubblicato nel 1989, che raggiunse le classifiche europee. Tra gli album più noti figurano "The Rainbirds" (1987) e "Blueprints" (1990). La band ha collaborato con diversi artisti del panorama musicale tedesco, contribuendo a definire il sound della scena alternativa degli anni '80 e '90.
