Corrupted è una band giapponese di doom/sludge metal, considerati pionieri del genere. Conosciuti per la loro avversione verso l'accettazione mainstream, anche all'interno del proprio sottogenere che tende naturalmente all'oscurità. Questo si riflette non solo nel loro stile musicale oscuro e opprimente, ma anche nella loro natura ritirata, evitando interviste e servizi fotografici pubblicitari. Il gruppo ha pubblicato una serie di album in studio tra gli anni '90 e il 2010, influenzando profondamente la scena doom/sludge metal internazionale.
