Conosciuto per le sue collaborazioni con Kanye West, Rhymefest ha contribuito significativamente al sound del rap contemporaneo. Ha vinto un Grammy Award come co-autore della canzone «Jesus Walks» di Kanye West. Oltre alla musica, Rhymefest è anche attivo nell'ambito sociale e politico, dedicandosi a progetti di empowerment per la comunità afroamericana.
