I woke up in
Atlanta
No, it was
St. Louie, Missou
Still wearing the T-shirt
I slept in
I'm still
thinkin' 'bout you
If ever I needed
Miami Beach
It would surely be tonight
But I'm headed for
Cleavland
I've got to believe in that
sweet paradise
All I ever wanted
was to get into the party
with the good girls and boys
Chasing the dream
The peaches and cream
of the good girls and boys
But it was always
Rock and Roll
and there was never really
any other choice
So now I stand here and play
everyday
for the good girls and boys
hey, hey, hey, hey
You know I love
New Jersey
I'm crazy about
Chicago too
and all the margaritas in
Texas
make a woman feel
crazy cool
If ever I needed
San Francisco
She was always there for me
But I've never been so high
as when I'm up all night in
New York City
All I ever wanted was to get into the party
with the good girls and boys
Chasing the dream
The peaches and cream
of the good girls and boys
But it was always
Rock and Roll
and there was never really
any other choice
So now I stand here and play
everyday
for the good girls and boys
hey, hey, hey, hey
(All night)
I dreamed in
Kansas City
I got saved in
Boston
last night
I drove straight through to
Malibu
where I never looked back
If ever I need
something to be lead on,
wait for the noise
and then I'll take your hand
and I'll count off the band
with the good..girls..
and boys..
1! 2! 3! 4!
All I ever wanted was to get into the party
with the good girls and boys
Chasing the dream
The peaches and cream
of the good girls and boys
But it was always
Rock and Roll
and there was never really
any other choice
So now I stand here and play
everyday
for the good girls and boys
hey, hey, hey, hey
All I ever wanted
hey
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted was
to get into the party
yeah
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
a'right...
That's all...
