Mae è una rock band americana formatasi a Norfolk, Virginia nel 2001. Il nome del gruppo è un acronimo di "Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience", ispirato ad un corso seguito dal batterista Jacob Marshall durante il suo periodo come studente presso l'Old Dominion University. Il sound di Mae si caratterizza per una fusione di elementi indie rock, emo e post-rock, con influenze progressive e sperimentali. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Reason", "Gravity" e "Falling Away".
