Blue Öyster Cult è un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi a New York nel 1967. Considerati pionieri del heavy metal, sono noti per l'uso di immagini sci-fi e occulte nelle loro canzoni. Con oltre 25 album pubblicati in una carriera che dura da oltre 40 anni, hanno venduto più di 14 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Tra i loro album più famosi figurano *Secret Treaties* (1974) e *Agents of Fortune* (1976), quest'ultimo contenente l'indimenticabile singolo "Don't Fear the Reaper". Altri successi includono "Godzilla" (dal 1977 *Spectres*) e "Burnin' for You" (dal 1981 *Fire of Unknown Origin*).
