When I grow up
I want to be young
Heard you got love
Can I get some?
Hook me up a fresh start
I wish I could say
I wish I could warn
Warn myself
Before I was born
Give myself a head start
Rob me of my innocence
Leave me with the consequence
Tell me that I'm out of my mind
And I've been to hell and back again
But everyone still acts the same
Have you seen the world is on fire?
When I grow up
I want to be young
Heard you got love
Can I get some?
Hook me up a fresh start
I wish I could say
I wish I could warn
Warn myself
Before I was born
I'd give myself a head start
When I grow up
When I grow up
Forward never looking back
I don't try to hide the cracks
All my bad decisions
Leave 20/20 vision
And home is where I hang my hat
In the Cape sun on my back
Been locked down
But still fighting
And I hope you're by my side
When I grow up
I want to be young
Heard you got love
Can I get some?
Hook me up a fresh start
I wish I could say
I wish I could warn
Warn myself
Before I was born
I'd give myself a head start
When I grow up
I want to find peace now baby it's on
When I grow up
Nothing less and nothing more
When I grow up
I hope you find peace now baby come on
When I grow up
Nothing less and nothing more
Rob my of innocence
Rob my of innocence
Tell me that I'm out of my mind
Tell me that I'm out of my mind
Been to hell and back again
And I've been to hell and back again
Have you seen the world is on fire?
Have you seen the world is on fire?
When I grow up
I want to be young
Heard you got love
Can I get some?
Hook me up a fresh start
I wish I could say
I wish I could warn
Warn myself
Before I was born
I'd give myself a head start
When I grow up
I want to find peace now baby it's on
When I grow up
Nothing less and nothing more
When I grow up
I hope you find peace now baby come on
When I grow up
Nothing less and nothing more
When I grow up
When I grow up
