T'Pau è un gruppo musicale pop britannico formatosi nel 1986 a Shropshire, in Inghilterra. La formazione originale comprendeva la cantante Carol Decker e il chitarrista Ron Rogers, entrambi autori delle canzoni del gruppo. Inizialmente si chiamavano Talking America, per poi cambiare nome in T'Pau, ispirandosi al personaggio di Star Trek. Il loro successo internazionale arrivò nel 1987 con il singolo "China in Your Hand", che raggiunse la vetta delle classifiche britanniche e americane. Altri successi del gruppo includono "Heart and Soul" e "Come On Let's Go". T'Pau ha pubblicato sei album in studio, l'ultimo dei quali è del 2018. La band continua a esibirsi dal vivo e ad essere apprezzata per il suo sound pop orecchiabile e le performance energiche di Carol Decker.

Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.
