John Charles Waite (nato il 30 luglio 1953) è un cantautore e musicista britannico, noto per la sua potente voce e le sue ballate rock emozionanti. Iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '70 con la band The Babys, raggiungendo il successo internazionale con brani come "Every Time I Think of You" e "Isn't It Time". Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, Waite ha avviato una carriera solista di grande successo, pubblicando album come "No Brakes" (1984) e "Downtown Life" (1989), che hanno generato successi come "Missing You" e "Change”. Ha collaborato con artisti come Mick Jagger e Robert Plant. Waite è considerato un'icona del rock britannico degli anni '80, apprezzato per la sua autenticità e le sue performance energiche.
