Trading Yesterday è stata una band pop rock statunitense formata nel 2003 a Los Angeles da David Hodges e Mark Colbert. Nel 2004 si unisce al gruppo Steven McMorran. Inizialmente chiamati Trading Yesterday, hanno pubblicato una demo intitolata *The Beauty and the Tragedy* prima di firmare con la Epic Records. Nel 2005 hanno lanciato il singolo *One Day*, seguito da un album di debutto previsto inizialmente per il 2004 ma poi ritirato e mai ufficialmente rilasciato, se non nel 2011 sotto il titolo *More than This*. Dopo aver lasciato la Epic Records, la band ha optato per l'indipendenza. Il loro sound si caratterizza per melodie orecchiabili, influenze pop-rock e testi introspettivi.
