I Commodores sono un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi a Tuskegee, Alabama, negli anni '60. Il loro sound si è evoluto dal soul e funk all'R and B contemporaneo, diventando uno dei gruppi più popolari degli anni '70 e '80. Tra i loro successi più noti ci sono "Easy", "Brick House" e "Three Times a Lady". Il gruppo ha venduto oltre 10 milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo e ha vinto numerosi premi, tra cui un Grammy Award per la canzone "Three Times a Lady". I Commodores hanno collaborato con artisti come Lionel Richie, che ha lasciato il gruppo nel 1982 per intraprendere una carriera da solista. Dopo la partenza di Richie, i Commodores hanno continuato a registrare e esibirsi fino agli anni '90.
