Sarai, pseudonimo di Sara Bassotti, nasce a Roma il 09 Settembre 2001. All?età di 14 anni inizia a scrivere i primi testi, mossa dall?urgenza di raccontare e raccontarsi e dall?esigenza di esternare una grande delusione familiare che la teneva ancorata al passato. La Musica è per lei un?entità a cui raccontare tutto, un angelo custode a cui affidare pensieri, sogni, gioie e paure, sconfitte e vittorie; una sorta di oracolo a cui porre domande e dal quale ricevere risposte, risposte che non tardano mai ad arrivare. Inizia a suonare da autodidatta e, poco dopo, si iscrive a corsi privati, fino a seguire il percorso formativo in Chitarra Jazz al Conservatorio di Roma. Negli anni del Liceo, ricopre il ruolo di frontwoman e seconda chitarra del gruppo punk-rock Four Vibes, con cui pubblica, nel 2018, l?EP di debutto ?Such a Good Lover?. Nello stesso anno, Sarai intraprende un?esperienza all?estero, trascorrendo un anno nella coloratissima Repubblica Dominicana: un?esperienza che cambia profondamente l?artista, arricchendola personalmente e professionalmente. Al suo ritorno in Italia, si avvicina sempre di più al panorama discografico nazionale, cimentandosi nella composizione di brani originali, che fondono le sonorità attuali alle sue radici rock, dando così vita ad un indie-pop-rock unico nel nostro Paese. Il suo talento, la sua determinazione ed il suo amore per la musica la portano, a fine 2020, a firmare un contratto discografico con The Bluestones Records, attenta e proficua label romana con cui Sarai pubblica, il 19 Febbraio 2021 il suo primo singolo da solista, ?Ci hai perso tu?. Nell?estate dello stesso anno, esce ?Laissez-faire?, un brano romantico ma dal netto taglio ironico, con cui l?artista riconferma un?impronta stilistica, autorale e vocale, unica, autentica e riconoscibile. Pochi mesi più in là, Sarai è tra i concorrenti della quattordicesima edizione di X Factor Italia, dove viene apprezzata da giudici e pubblico per vocalità e versatilità. Ad Ottobre 2021, la cantautrice capitolina rilascia in tutti i digital store ?Gif?, un pezzo romantico e introspettivo che evidenzia l?ecletticità della sua penna e l?emozionalità della sua voce; una voce ricca di colori Soul che punta e giunge dritta al cuore, una timbrica piena, calda, avvolgente, che prende per mano l?ascoltatore ed attraverso l?universale abbraccio della musica, lo trasporta in un mondo costellato di sogni, speranze ed energia.
