Jim Steinman (James Richard Steinman) è stato un compositore, produttore discografico e pianista statunitense nato a New York nel 1948. Considerato uno dei pilastri del rock teatrale, Steinman si distinse per le sue composizioni epiche e spesso grandiose, caratterizzate da melodie memorabili e testi che esploravano temi di amore, perdita e redenzione. Il suo stile, definito da alcuni come "il Richard Wagner del rock", ha influenzato generazioni di musicisti. ??
