RBL Posse, acronimo di "Ruthless by Law", è stato un gruppo di gangsta rap attivo negli anni '90 proveniente da Hunters Point, San Francisco, California. Considerati pionieri del suono West Coast, hanno contribuito a definire l'estetica e la tematica del genere con testi spesso crudi e realistici che riflettevano la vita nelle strade di San Francisco. Il gruppo era composto principalmente da MC Eiht, un rapper noto per le sue performance intense e i testi diretti, e da altri membri come Big C e DJ Pooh. RBL Posse ha pubblicato diversi album negli anni '90, tra cui "Str8 Outta Hunters Point" (1992) e "The 4th Ward" (1993), che hanno riscosso un discreto successo commerciale e hanno contribuito a diffondere la loro musica in tutto il panorama hip hop. Tra i brani più rappresentativi del gruppo ricordiamo "Street Life", "Murder Rap" e "Hunters Point Blues".
