The Fatima Mansions sono stati un gruppo rock sperimentale formatosi nel 1988 da Cathal Coughlan, cantante e tastierista originario di Cork, precedentemente membro dei Microdisney. Il nome del gruppo deriva da una zona residenziale popolare a Rialto, Dublino, dove viveva John Roberts. Il loro sound si caratterizzava per un mix di art rock, post-punk e musica elettronica, con testi spesso introspettivi e poetici. Tra i brani più noti figurano "The Ballad of the Fatima Mansions", "A Little Bit of Heaven" e "The Last Day of Summer". Il gruppo ha pubblicato tre album in studio: "The Fatima Mansions" (1989), "The Second Coming" (1990) e "The Great Escape" (1992).
