Parliament-Funkadelic è il nome collettivo dato al gruppo musicale funk guidato da George Clinton attivo principalmente negli anni '70. Il gruppo, composto da una serie di musicisti e cantanti, ha registrato sotto i nomi Parliament e Funkadelic, ma spesso si presentava come un'unica entità. Tra i membri più noti figurano Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley e Maceo Parker, tutti provenienti dalle band di James Brown. Il loro stile musicale era caratterizzato da ritmi incalzanti, linee melodiche funky e testi spesso fantasiosi e satirici. Le performance dal vivo erano spettacolari, con costumi sgargianti, scenografie futuristiche e un'atmosfera di festa contagiosa. Parliament-Funkadelic ha avuto un impatto significativo sulla musica hip hop degli anni '80 e '90, influenzando artisti come Prince e Rick James. Alcuni dei brani più rappresentativi del gruppo includono "Flash Light", "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker)" e "Maggot Brain".

Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.
