The Hot Boys (sometimes Hot Boy$ or Hot Boyz) is an American rap group active from 1997 to 2001, later reuniting in 2007. The group consists of the most popular rappers in the New Orleans-based record label, Cash Money Records. The members were Juvenile, Lil Wayne, B.G. and Turk (Often called "Young Turk" or "Lil Turk"). The Hot Boys made up the majority of the artists on Cash Money Records with the other half being the Big Tymers. In 1997, they released their debut album, Get It How U Live!. In 1999, they released Guerrilla Warfare, their most successful album to date. Throughout the year of 2001, there was a lot of controversy surrounding legal issues with Lil Wayne. Things only began to get worse for the group. Juvenile, B.G., and Turk weren't feeling like they were getting their "fair share" in their money from Baby and Slim, the owners of Cash Money Records. This led to the three departing from Cash Money Records in 2001.
