Considerata una delle pionieristiche del genere crunk, ha raggiunto la fama negli anni '90 come membro del gruppo Three 6 Mafia. La sua voce roca e le rime taglienti hanno contribuito a definire il suono di Memphis hip hop. Tra i suoi album più importanti figurano *Enquiring Minds* (1998), *Both Worlds *69* (2001) e *The Memphis Queen Is Back* (2003).
