The Matches sono una band pop punk americana formatasi ad Oakland, California, nel 1997. Il gruppo è composto da Shawn Harris (voce, chitarra), Matt Whalen (batteria) e Justin Sans Souci (basso). Conosciuti per il loro sound energico e le performance dal vivo coinvolgenti, The Matches hanno pubblicato diversi album tra cui "A New Way to Bleed" (2003) e "You Can't Catch Me" (2005), che hanno contribuito a consolidare la loro posizione nel panorama musicale pop punk.
