Overseer è un gruppo musicale di genere metal progressivo formatosi negli Stati Uniti. Nonostante il nome che potrebbe far pensare ad una figura religiosa, la band si concentra su temi filosofici e esistenziali, esplorando concetti come la coscienza, l'identità e la realtà attraverso sonorità complesse e atmosferiche. La loro musica è caratterizzata da riff intricati, cambi di ritmo repentini e un uso creativo degli strumenti, con influenze provenienti dal metal classico, dal progressive rock e dall'avant-garde.
