Jake Scott è un regista britannico nato a Londra nel 1968. Figlio del celebre musicista e produttore musicale Scott Walker, ha ereditato una forte passione per l'arte e la musica. Dopo aver studiato al prestigioso Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, si è dedicato alla regia di video musicali, cortometraggi e lungometraggi. Tra i suoi lavori più noti figurano il videoclip di "The Killing Moon" dei Echo and the Bunnymen, il film "Welcome to the Rileys" con James Caan e Melissa Leo, e la serie televisiva "Taboo" con Tom Hardy.
