Incubus è un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi a Calabasas, in California, nel 1991. I membri fondatori sono Brandon Boyd (voce), Mike Einzeger (chitarra), Alex Katunich (basso) e Jose Pasillas (batteria). Dopo aver pubblicato l'EP indipendente *Fungus Amongus*, hanno firmato con la Epic Records e nel 1997 hanno rilasciato il loro primo EP di successo, *Enjoy Incubus*, che ha introdotto al pubblico il loro stile funk-rock influenzato da artisti come i Red Hot Chili Peppers. L'album di debutto ufficiale del gruppo, *Make Yourself* (1999), ha raggiunto un grande successo commerciale grazie a brani come «Drive» e «Stellar», consolidando la posizione di Incubus nel panorama musicale alternativo. Tra le loro opere più note si annoverano anche gli album *Morning View* (2001) con il singolo «Wish You Were Here», e *A Crow Left of the Murder...* (2004). Incubus è noto per la sua musica caratterizzata da melodie orecchiabili, testi introspettivi e un sound che fonde elementi di funk, rock alternativo, metal progressivo e world music.
