Fish è un cantautore e musicista britannico, noto per il suo stile musicale che fonde elementi di progressive rock, art rock e musica classica. Nato come **Derek William Dick** nel 1958 a Aberdeen, Scozia, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '70 con la band **Dr. Chud's X-Ward**. Nel 1982 è entrato nei Marillion, diventando il frontman del gruppo fino al 1988. Con i Marillion ha raggiunto un grande successo internazionale, pubblicando album come *Script for a Jester's Tear* (1983) e *Misplaced Childhood* (1985), che sono considerati capolavori del progressive rock. Dopo la sua uscita dai Marillion, Fish ha intrapreso una carriera solista di grande successo, pubblicando numerosi album apprezzati dalla critica e dal pubblico.
