Deathstars sono una band svedese di gothic metal formatasi a Stoccolma nel gennaio 2000. Conosciuti per i testi horror, il commento sociale pessimista e misantropo, la distintiva pittura facciale e gli abiti da palco, hanno pubblicato tre album in studio: *Synthetic Generation* (2003 in Europa, 2004 in Nord e Sud America), *Termination Bliss* (2006) e *Night Electric Night* (2009). Deathstars hanno fatto da supporto a band come Korn e Cradle of Filth, quest'ultima parte dell'ispirazione per Deathstars.
