Christine Lavin è una cantautrice e musicista folk americana, nota per il suo stile intimo e le canzoni ironiche e introspettive. Nata nel 1953, ha iniziato la sua carriera negli anni '80 con l'album d'esordio "Cold Pizza For Breakfast". Tra i suoi album più apprezzati figurano "Happydance of the Xenophobe", "Attainable Love" e "Beau Woes and Other Problems of Modern Life". Lavin è anche membro del gruppo folk femminile Four Bitchin' Babes. Le sue canzoni, spesso caratterizzate da un umorismo sottile e una sensibilità poetica, hanno conquistato un pubblico affezionato negli Stati Uniti e in Europa.
