Moist è stata una band canadese di alternative rock attiva dal 1992 al 2000. Originaria di Vancouver, la formazione era guidata dal cantautore David Usher, noto per il suo stile vocale distintivo e le melodie orecchiabili. Il loro sound si caratterizzava per un mix di influenze grunge, pop e rock progressivo, con testi spesso introspettivi e poetici. Tra i brani più celebri di Moist figurano "Gasoline", "Blackface" e "Sober". L'album di debutto "Silver" (1994) ottenne un discreto successo in Canada, mentre il secondo disco "Rats" (1996) li consacrò come una delle band alternative più popolari del paese. Dopo diversi anni di attività, Moist si sciolse nel 2000. David Usher ha continuato la sua carriera musicale da solista, pubblicando album e collaborando con altri artisti.
