Crush 40 è un duo musicale giapponese-americano noto per aver composto le colonne sonore di videogiochi, in particolare della serie Sonic the Hedgehog. Il gruppo è formato da Johnny Gioeli (voce e tastiere) e Jun Senoue (chitarra e composizione). La loro musica si caratterizza per un sound energico e rock, spesso con influenze melodiche e synthwave. Crush 40 ha contribuito a definire l'identità musicale di Sonic the Hedgehog, creando temi iconici come "Theme of Hope" e "Live and Learn". Oltre ai videogiochi, hanno anche composto musica per film e serie TV. La loro collaborazione con Sega è durata oltre due decenni, rendendoli uno dei gruppi musicali più associati al franchise di Sonic.
