Renaissance è un gruppo musicale britannico di progressive rock attivo dal 1969 al 1978 e poi riunitosi sporadicamente negli anni successivi. Fondato da Annie Haslam (voce), Michael Dunford (chitarra) e John Tout (tastiere), il gruppo ha raggiunto la popolarità negli anni '70 con album come *Ashes Are Burning* (1974) e *Turn of the Cards* (1978). Il loro sound è caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, arrangiamenti complessi e testi poetici spesso ispirati a temi fantasy e mitologici. Tra i brani più noti di Renaissance figurano "Things I Don't Understand", "Northern Lights" e "Carpet of the Sun".
