Demons and Wizards è un gruppo musicale power metal formatosi come progetto parallelo dei gruppi Blind Guardian e Iced Earth. Il duo di fondazione è composto dal cantante dei Blind Guardian, Hansi Kürsch, e dal chitarrista degli Iced Earth, Jon Schaffer. Schaffer si occupa della composizione musicale mentre Kürsch scrive i testi. Per la registrazione del loro album d'esordio nel 2000, il gruppo ha visto l'aggiunta di Mark Prator alla batteria (collaboratore di alcuni album degli Iced Earth) e Jim Morris che ha curato la maggior parte dei soli di chitarra (anche lui con un passato in Iced Earth). Il sound di Demons and Wizards fonde elementi melodici del power metal con una vena più oscura e heavy, tipica degli Iced Earth. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Fallen Angel", "Too Late" e "Lord of the Rings".
