Shola Ama, pseudonimo di Mathurin Campbell, è una cantautrice britannica nata a Londra nel 1973. Attiva dal tardo anni '90, ha raggiunto la popolarità con il suo album di debutto "Much Love", pubblicato nel 1997. Il disco contiene il singolo di successo "You're the One" che le ha valso un BRIT Award per la migliore artista femminile britannica. Ama è nota per la sua voce potente e melodie soul influenzate dal R and B contemporaneo. Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con artisti come Massive Attack, The Roots e Finley Quaye. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi ricordiamo "You're the One", "I Don't Want to Be Alone" e "The Way You Make Me Feel".
