I Münchener Freiheit sono un gruppo musicale tedesco formatosi a Monaco di Baviera nell'ottobre 1980. Il loro nome, tradotto letteralmente come "Libertà di Monaco", deriva da un caffè omonimo presente nella città. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo negli anni '80 e '90 con brani pubblicati sia in tedesco che in inglese, ottenendo riconoscimenti internazionali. Tra i loro successi più noti figurano "Ohne Dich", "Komm zurück" e "Du hast den Wind im Haar". I Münchener Freiheit sono ancora oggi attivi, continuando a esibirsi e ad appassionare i propri fan.

Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.
