The Damned Things sono un supergruppo metal formatosi nel 2010, composto da membri di gruppi iconici come Fall Out Boy, Anthrax, Volbeat e Every Time I Die. Il nucleo del gruppo è costituito da Joe Trohman e Andy Hurley dei Fall Out Boy, Scott Ian degli Anthrax, Rob Caggiano dei Volbeat, Keith Buckley e Josh Newton degli Every Time I Die. Il nome della band deriva dal testo della versione degli anni '70 di Black Betty eseguita dai Ram Jam. Il loro sound è un mix potente di hard rock, punk e metalcore, con influenze thrash e groove. L'album d'esordio omonimo "The Damned Things" (2010) ha ricevuto recensioni positive per la sua energia bruta e l'amalgama di stili musicali. Il gruppo si è sciolto nel 2013 dopo un tour mondiale, lasciando un segno indelebile nella scena metal alternativa.
