Words and music: jim johnston
Weve spent some time together, and I was sure Id have to hide.
Afraid that youd discover my darker side.
Cause theres a difference between what I say and I do
Sometimes I change just like the weather, Im off in some bizarre direction.
I was afraid of the consequence if you knew itd mean we could not stay together,
Then Id be done.
Stop trying to win over my heart - youre already there.
Im scared that someone may light my fuse. do you know that youre my inspiration?
And Im frightened by this new sensation.
Weve only begun, but when it all gets said and done
I think I could love someone by looking on the brighter side of things.
Ive had some dreams turn hard on me, Ive been haunted by some bad decisions.
But I would never do something to make you feel that we were not meant for each other,
Please know that youre my only vision.
To be the queen of my heart reach out your hand - and I will be there.
Love aint something you simply just get through.
Im grateful for your disposition when Im blinded by my superstitions.
Theres no where to run, but when it all gets said and done
I cant just love anyone, but youve seen through the darker side of me.
Weve only begun, but when it all gets said and done
I think I could love someone, by looking on the brighter side of things.
Oh I need your faith. what you see is what you think,
What you dont know, is youre running with a one man freak show,
I cant do better, you couldnt do worse.
Im all grown up kind of, in reverse,
But I would never do something to make you feel that we were not meant for each other,
Please know that youre my only vision.
Im scared someday I might push you off the edge, Im already there.
But love is something that just might see me through.
Do you know that youre my inspiration? - why doesnt take imagination.
Theres no where to run, but when it all gets said and done,
I might just love someone, by looking on the brighter side of things.
Weve only begun, but when it all gets said and done,
You still could love me some, by looking on the brighter side of things.
I tried to warn you about me still youre always there,
Looking on the brighter side of things.
