Caravan è un gruppo musicale britannico di musica progressiva, considerato uno dei pilastri del cosiddetto "Canterbury scene". Attivo dal 1968 al 1973 e poi riunitosi in diverse occasioni, il gruppo ha caratterizzato la sua musica con sonorità jazzistiche, folk e psichedeliche, spesso arricchite da arrangiamenti complessi e sperimentali. Tra i membri fondatori si ricordano Pye Hastings (voce, chitarra), Richard Sinclair (basso, voce) e Geoffrey Richardson (violino, tastiere). Caravan ha pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "In the Land of Grey and Pink" (1973), considerato un capolavoro del progressive rock. Altri brani rappresentativi sono "The Mad Hatter's Dance", "Golf Girl" e "Razzle Dazzle". La band è stata influenzata da artisti come King Crimson, Genesis e Soft Machine, contribuendo a definire il sound progressivo britannico degli anni '70.
