Abiodun Oyewole è un poeta e musicista afroamericano nato nel 1948. Noto per essere uno dei membri fondatori del gruppo di poesia slam The Last Poets, ha contribuito in modo significativo alla nascita e all'evoluzione della musica hip hop e del rap. La sua voce potente e le sue performance carismatiche hanno reso Oyewole un'icona culturale, influenzando generazioni di artisti con il suo impegno politico e sociale. Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "When the Revolution Comes", "Niggers Are Scared of Revolution" e "This is Madness".
