Underworld è un gruppo musicale britannico di musica elettronica formatosi a Londra nel 1980 da Karl Hyde e Rick Smith. Nel corso degli anni, il gruppo ha sperimentato con diversi generi, passando dal techno al house all'ambient, influenzando profondamente la scena musicale elettronica mondiale. La loro fama internazionale è esplosa nel 1996 grazie al brano "Born Slippy .NUXX", utilizzato nella colonna sonora del film cult *Trainspotting*. Altri brani celebri includono "Rez" e "King of the Beats". Darren Emerson si unì al gruppo nel 1992, contribuendo alla loro evoluzione musicale fino al suo abbandono nel 2005. Underworld ha pubblicato numerosi album di successo, tra cui *Dubnobasswithmyheadman* (1993), *Beaucoup Love* (2002) e *Barking* (2007). Il gruppo è noto per i suoi live show energici e innovativi, che combinano musica elettronica con elementi di performance teatrale.
