Paper Lace è stato un gruppo pop con sede a Nottingham, formatosi nel 1969. Il gruppo, originariamente chiamato Music Box, ha assunto il nome Paper Lace quando Phil Wright si è unito come batterista e cantante principale. Sono noti in America come una band di successo con un solo singolo, ma nel Regno Unito sono considerati un "classico gruppo di successo con due e mezzo successi" (Sendra, 2006). Il loro brano più famoso, "The Night Chicago Died", è stato un grande successo internazionale nel 1974. Altri brani rappresentativi includono "Billy Don't Be a Hero" e "I Can See Clearly Now".
