Q-Tip, pseudonimo di Jonathan William Davis, è un rapper, disc jockey e produttore discografico statunitense nato a New York nel 1970. Considerato uno dei pionieri dell'hip hop alternativo, Q-Tip ha contribuito in modo significativo alla diffusione di sonorità jazz e soul all'interno del genere negli anni '90. È noto per le sue performance energiche, i testi intelligenti e la sua capacità di mescolare influenze musicali diverse. Ha raggiunto il successo internazionale come membro del gruppo A Tribe Called Quest, con cui ha pubblicato album iconici come "The Low End Theory" (1991) e "Midnight Marauders" (1993). Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, Q-Tip ha intrapreso una carriera da solista di successo, pubblicando album come "Kamaal" (2000) e "The Renaissance" (2008). Tra i suoi brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Scenario", "Electric Relaxation", "Vivrant Thing" e "Breathe and Stretch".
