Carl Dean Wilson (1946-1998) è stato un musicista e cantante statunitense, noto soprattutto come membro fondatore e chitarrista dei Beach Boys. Nato a Hawthorne, in California, Carl iniziò la sua carriera musicale insieme ai fratelli Brian, Dennis e Mike, formando i Beach Boys nel 1961. Carl contribuì con le sue melodie e arrangiamenti al successo della band, diventando una figura chiave nella loro evoluzione musicale. Il suo stile vocale distintivo e il suo talento chitarristico hanno caratterizzato molti dei successi più famosi dei Beach Boys, tra cui "Surfin' USA", "Good Vibrations" e "Wouldn't It Be Nice". Oltre alla sua attività con i Beach Boys, Carl ha anche collaborato con altri artisti come Van Dyke Parks e Elton John. Dopo la morte di Brian Wilson nel 1998, Carl ha continuato a registrare musica e a esibirsi fino al suo tragico decesso nel 2008.
