Utopia era una band di rock progressivo americana guidata da Todd Rundgren, attiva dal 1973 al 1986. La formazione originale comprendeva anche Roger Powell (tastiere), Kasim Sulton (basso) e John Wilcox (batteria). La band ha pubblicato sette album in studio, tra cui "Utopia" (1974), "Another Live" (1975) e "Ra" (1976), che hanno riscosso un discreto successo commerciale. Rundgren, noto per il suo talento poliedrico come musicista, cantante e produttore, ha contribuito a definire lo stile musicale di Utopia con la sua combinazione di rock progressivo, synth-pop e elementi sperimentali. La band è stata apprezzata per le sue performance dal vivo energiche e i suoi arrangiamenti complessi. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Utopia ricordiamo "The Ikon" , "Set Me Free" e "Love Is The Answer".
